Last Seandays: In Deeper, part 1

I smirked as the two cops ran past me. I caught an eye of one and he frowned as he past me panting heavily.

I'd only been able to do this for a few weeks, take over the bodies of others. Hell I'd gotten myself in so much trouble, but I knew nobody would be able to catch me--what chance did they have?

But let me tell you about how I got here in the first place.

Seanday Shorts: Last One

"Cole do you have to smoke?"
He paused and looked at me. It was a cold hateful stare of a trapped man. He stubbed out the cigarette, returning it to the packet. I watched as he tensed his muscles one by one, was he bored or just testing the limits of the control I had over him?
I'd seen him working over the street, heavy labour and quickly realised he was really strong. He was just one of a handful of men working on the house.
He was usually the last to leave, having to clear the site each evening. So I called him over as he was about to leave, we shook hands as I introduced myself--his last voluntary gesture. He belonged to me now. In his eyes I could see the frustration as I toyed with him, each time he would struggle to resist, but I could see he was weakening.
After a few hours I sent him on his way, told him to act normally. But each evening he'd return to my house, totally passive but his eyes told the true story.
As the days past I bought a new closet of clothes to suit Cole's stature. He showered, cleaned himself for me and got dressed in clothes that I knew he could never afford himself. I told him to take me out for dinner--he did of course, was very attentive, but always the eyes told another story.
Still that was all to change, I'd completed the paperwork now. Cole was able to handle all my finances as he wished.
undress myself was awkward. "Help me," I told him. He carefully undressed me, at 84 years, it was something I wasn't going to have endure for much longer.
"Sit down Cole," I said, and I climbed onto his lap. "Now lay back." As his did I laid back as well. I could feel his strength. "Hold me," I whispered.
He embraced me with his strong arms, I felt his stubble on my cheek. I muttered the words I'd used some sixty odd years ago and slipped into Cole's body. With a gasp, I sat up. Getting to my feet I went to the mirror to see my new reflection. "Perfect," I said in Cole's voice. I blinked for a moment; his--my--eyes. The hatred and loathing was all gone, even though we shared his mind now it was me in control.
Laughing I returned to the chair, took out the cigarette and lit it. "I'll give up at the weekend," I chuckled to myself.

Trade

by Carlos Palanca

It was a seemingly normal Saturday afternoon as Ben arrives at his friend, Justin’s house. He rang the doorbell to let him or any of his family members know that he’s at the door. A second or two later, he heard footsteps coming towards the door. He heard the door locks click and the door opens, revealing Justin’s mom, Mrs. Shepherd from the other side of it.

Mrs. Shepherd greets Ben and he politely greets her back. He asks if Justin’s in the house. She informs Ben her son is inside but she also tells him that Justin is grounded and can’t leave the house. Ben assures her that he is just here to borrow something from Justin. She lets him in and tells him to head straight into Justin’s room and she’ll be in the kitchen if they need anything.

When Ben reaches Justin’s room, he notices that the door is closed. He knocks and says, “Justin, open up. It’s Ben.”

“It’s unlocked!” said Justin from the other side. Ben opens the door and sees Justin stripping off his clothes. “About time you got here! I thought that you weren’t going to show up!”

My Name Is Jace

Special thanks to M. Bostlov and his magic clothing shop and to "Pops"

Up until a very short time ago I was a sixty-two year-old man working in a very boring dead-end retail job. All that changed when I wandered into this very odd-looking clothing shop one day. From the outside, M. Bostlov Magic Clothing Store looked like any other little shop along the street, but I couldn’t contain my amazement when I entered. What looked small from the outside was quite large inside. Must be an optical illusion or something. Row after row of various clothing and accessories greeted my eyes. As I studied the aisles more I noticed the store seemed to be divided into sections, although exactly what kind of sections I wasn’t sure. That is when a very dapper looking man walked over to where I stood, and we started to talk. He followed me down the various aisles as I checked out the selections until I came upon what was quite obviously the leather section. I had always had a fancy for leather clothing and in my younger days had always dressed in leathers when riding my motorcycle. I missed those days and sighed as I thought back on all the good times. He must have sensed something for he started to ask me questions, very personal questions indeed but I didn’t mind answering him for some reason. I was feeling very relaxed and quite at ease. The smell of all that leather was intoxicating. As we carried on our conversation he had been picking out various items of leather clothing until he seemed satisfied with his bundle.

“Come into my office with me. I have a proposition you might be interested in.” He smiled so seductively I couldn’t help myself and followed him willingly. By now I had lost all conception of time and my mind was cloudy like I had just woken up from a very deep sleep. He continued to ask me questions: would I like to leave my old life behind and come to work for him in the store? I would never have to worry about anything ever again he assured me. I was so enamored by the leather gear that I immediately answered “yes” without really giving it much thought. But then again what did I have to lose? It probably should have struck me odd that he would want an old man working for him, yet it never occurred to me.  And then, in what should have surprised me, he asked me to take off my clothes and try on the leather gear he had gathered. What surprised me more, I actually disrobed in front of him! I never in my life had done that in front of someone I had just met.

As I stood there stark naked and slightly chilled he held up a pair of leather pants. Nice pants but they looked way too long and way to skinny to fit me. He assured me they would fit okay, urging me to trust him and try them on. I was still skeptical, but I started to pull the pants over my feet and up my legs. The leather felt so great against my bare skin and as I had suspected, it was a tight fit, especially when I tried to pull them up over my hips and waist. He assisted me until finally I was able to zip and button the pants. I felt silly, but he assured me I looked great in the pants. He continued handing me the rest of the gear, none of which I would have sworn would ever fit properly, until I finally was dressed from head to toe in leather. He seemed quite pleased as he looked at me. I could only picture seeing an old man trying to be young again in my mind… until he led me over to a mirror.

Second Career as Chester Bennington

By Slick Psych

Last night, I had knocked out early from my retirement party, satisfied, but bored. Not much left to do, after my wife passed on a few years ago. Yet, somehow, I woke up with a nasty hangover. Once I came to and splashed water to clear my vision, I found myself looking at a very different reflection. The guy I now saw looking back was a lot younger and quite heavily tattooed. I now have several of those piercings that young men are so fond of nowadays. I somehow knew I shouldn’t be complaining, though, to find myself in a much more attractive body. Nice and fit and skinny too. Perhaps fate had given me a second chance at a new career. And maybe a more fulfilling sex life. I already feel a lot more energy than I did when I was his age. And young men seemed to be a lot more open to homosexuality these days, especially in the more alternative scene. I vaguely recall this attractive Asian guy, now that this body’s memories are starting to come to me. Looking at my new reflection, I think I’ll do fine for myself as this “Chester” guy. Yeah, I like that name. Now to go into the stall and see what I’m now packing.

Seanday Snack: The Deal

"Casey, comeon' bro we shook on it. A deals a deal," Brad muttered.

"No, no way. I've got a date with Judy tonight," Casey retorted.

"Then why did you agree on the bed dumb ass?"

Casey swallowed, "Because I thought I'd win."

"There's nobody better than me at hunting, and you can't go back on the bet. You might be my brother, but I'm not going to let you weasel out of it."

"Dude, we can do it next weekend--I promise!"

"Nah, doesn't work like that. It was your idea to pick the day, you chose Thursday, you knew I would be going to Daytona and thought you'd get in there for free." Brad chuckled, "I knew you were going to the lake this weekend with Judy. Bro' you fucked up big time."

"But I thought--

Casey frowned at his brother, "Wait! You cheated!"

"Don't even go there bro' I don't have a shit load of meat in the freezer because I shop at Costco!"

"Fuck!", Casey yelled at the top of his voice.

"Shout all you want bro' ain't nobody around to hear," Brad chuckled.

"But Judy?"

"I'll do the right thing, you can trust me bro'."

"I guess, but you'll have to tell me what you did, 'cos you know I won't remember any of it," Casey sighed.

"Sure," Brad said dismissively. "Look you know how this works, you have to give up willingly. Maybe you'll have better luck next time and you can ride my pretty ass around."

TGIF: SOMETHING IN THE WATER

by TS Escher

“Thanks, Marty,” Xander said. He smiled appreciatively as he accepted a bottle of water.

Heading back to the locker room, the former marine looked back affectionately toward the old man. He had never been accustomed to kindness, yet despite his best efforts, he had found Marty anyway.

Every morning Marty opened the boxing gym two hours early, just for him and his trainer. Although getting on in years, the old goat never seemed tired. Bright eyed and bushy tailed, he was always ready with a cold bottle of water for his favorite client. He even washed Xander’s gym clothes with the towels. Fresh clothes! Every day!

How did I get so lucky?

He stepped into a pair of tight black underwear as his trainer Howard entered the room.

“Ready to put ‘em up, big guy?” he said with a laugh.

“You bet!”

Seanday Cheer: New Lease of Life

“December already? Damn, I’m getting too old for this job,” Santa groaned. He looked over at his son casually snapping a selfie on his mobile. "I used to be like you," he told Jerry with a chuckle.

"Yeah, right pops," Jerry replied. "They didn't have smart phones when you were my age."

"No, but I was just as strong as you, and I had some manners," Santa muttered. "Are you going to help me with the deliveries this year? I could do with some help son."

"Love to, but I've got some plans. You know I would otherwise."

"But I could do it in half the time if you helped me."

"Pops, I could do it in half the time by myself," Jerry sneered.

Seanday Shorts: The Stretch

I passed him most days--early, around six-thirty in the mornings. I didn't have to get up that time myself, but I just wanted to see him.

It began simply enough, I took a slow laboured jog through the park, and like clockwork, he'd past me focused on his running. After a few days, he noticed me, jerking his chin at me, and I nodded as we passed.

The following few days I left a little earlier each morning, discovering his route a little at a time. He didn't seem to notice, but his acknowledgement progressed from a glance, to a smile and finally a "H1!"

I'd figured out the paths he used, and decided on a secluded part of the park as our final meeting point. I knew from the past few days, few people used the area that time of the day.

It was early autumn when I decided to make my change. My lease was ending, and I only had a few more days until I had to leave the apartment. So it seemed like a good time; wrap things up, you know?

Seanday Lunch: Mother's Way

I was surprised when Mrs. Kirkward—my neighbour—called me over as I left the empty house.

She gave me a loving hug, it was nice. I’d missed that.

“How are you holding up Matthew?” She asked.

I forget how many times I’d answered the same question from so many people.

“Oh, OK—I suppose, Mrs. Kirkward” I replied enjoying the feeling of being loved.

“Oh Matthew, you can call me Joanne, please." She added quietly, "I still can’t believe they’re both gone.”

My lip started to tremble as I recalled the past week. I’d lost both mom and dad in a car accident. Now I was alone in the world, and only nineteen.

“Coming through!” Came a call from behind Joanne.

Daniel-her son—pushed past, and I broke the hug and felt a rush of embarrassment.

Seanday Off: Take, take, take

I read the text and threw the mobile across the room. "Damn-it."

A quiet life, that's all I wanted, but everywhere I stopped people took it away.

It had been three months, long enough that I thought I'd be safe. But the text had told me that they were on the way. Someone had tipped them off, and I had a good idea who was responsible.

I'd been on the run; across the country. Each time I'd tried to make a home I'd get the call, giving me minutes to escape and run--again.

Even if I kept to myself, people would rat me out call the AGENCY. I looked at my reflection in the mirror, was it my colour? The way I dressed--I plucked at the yellow shirt I was wearing. Maybe they were just plain scared of me--I wasn't small, I looked after myself.

The mobile bleated again, and I retrieved it from the floor. "Fuck." I'd only had it for a few weeks, and now it was worthless. Whatever text came through was unreadable on the cracked screen.

Retirement

Tom Brady and Bill Belichick were to meet in the coach’s office and then have lunch. Lunch with Belichick was always at some fancy restaurant so he had dressed in a suit his loving wife Gisele had picked out for the occasion. The 6’4” man was a handsome and imposing sight even out of his uniform.

“Please sit down, Tom.” Belichick began in a very serious tone. “Before we go to lunch I need to have a talk with you about your future with the team. Nothing to worry about. Coffee?” Coffee? How could he possibly think about coffee when they were talking about something so damn important to him?

Belichick continued. “You’re getting a little long in the tooth so we have to start making plans for your retirement. We need to make way for a younger quarterback to take your place so you can get away from the wear and tear of football.”

Essentially, he was being put out to pasture, his coach telling him that he was past his prime. The famous, or infamous depending on your view, quarterback knew at 40 years of age that he was getting old for a professional quarterback and that his time as the king of the Patriots would come to an end someday but why talk about retirement this soon, especially when he had just led his team to another Super Bowl victory and proved all the naysayers wrong? True, he didn’t play like he had when he first started out but he was still quite capable of winning football games and bringing home trophies. For sure Gisele would like him to retire. She was always nagging him about going out on top before he was seriously injured, but football was his life.

“I’m sure we can find a spot for you within the organization, a nice desk job. Something that doesn’t require you to be on the field playing.”

Tom’s temper got the better of him and he erupted. “Seriously? No way. I want to keep playing for as long as I can. Besides, who are you going to get to replace me? Garoppolo?”

“Sorry Tom. I was hoping you would cooperate with me.” Belichick rang a buzzer on his desk and an immaculately dressed man entered the room. Tom had no idea who he was but he must be quite wealthy, judging by his suit and the gold cufflinks, studded with diamonds that formed the letters ‘HC” in the center, that he was wearing. “You leave me no choice.”

The stranger raised his arm, the cufflinks emitting a brilliant white flash that blinded Tom’s eyes. Suddenly he found himself outside, his arm poised to launch a spiral. He was so surprised by the sudden change that he fumbled the pass, the ball missing the intended target.

The Fashion Show

My friend Matt was a very handsome and extremely wealthy man. The two of us couldn’t have been more different if we had tried. I was hardly wealthy and far from being male model handsome as one could possibly get. Despite our 36-year age difference – he was 22 - we somehow managed to click when I met him at a trade show where he was the guest speaker.

He had hired me as his personal assistant shortly thereafter and introduced me to a very luxurious lifestyle that I had never known. He even had me living in his penthouse in one of the buildings he owned. He had money oozing from every pore it seemed, so much so that economies could crumble and he would still be uberwealthy. I’ve been with him about two years now and I had accompanied him on some of his wild adventures during our time. Sometimes I would join in on the activity if I was capable.

Our age difference didn’t bother him at all but he knew it did bother me, more so as my latest birthday was approaching. I could tell he was concerned as I became more and more withdrawn the closer the day came. It just wasn’t right for a young man such as him to be dragging a man old enough to be his father along on his treks, no matter how much we enjoyed each other’s company. I just wished I could be young enough to be more like a bro than a father. I grew insecure, no matter the number of times he protested that my age didn’t matter or how much he pampered me. He was happy and he wanted me to be as well.

Seanday: Just a Quick One

"Come on, stop fucking around. I know," Hassan muttered

"What are you talking about?" Alexis retorted, and he continued to jog through the dunes.

Hassan, a man just as big jogged a little faster to catch up. "I know what's going on!"

"Just leave me alone," Alexis shouted over his shoulder and started to run.

"You're not not the same man!"

The man running in front didn't reply.

Hassan sprinted, catching up and then tackled the man. Alexis fell, face first into the sand a crumpled heap.

As he began to push himself up, Hassan reached down and pushed his hand into Alexis muscular back. He let out a groan, and froze.

Just Desserts

Special Guest Appearance Courtesy of The Body Swap Clique

I had gone shopping at my local WalMart store the other day and decided to browse through the magazine section. My eye caught a glimpse of a very handsome model on the cover of a men’s fashion magazine, one of a kind apparently since there were no others like it on the shelf. Upon closer inspection, I discovered the model was Matt Bomer, an actor I recognized from a few TV shows I had seen. I wasn’t particularly a fan of his but for some reason I had an overwhelming desire to buy the magazine and that compulsion and excitement only got deeper as I stood in line to pay for it.
I got to my house and set the magazine down on the table while I took off my jacket and went to hang it up. Imagine my surprise when, instead of the magazine I had purchased, I found a tabloid paper upon my return. How had that gotten there? The front page had a picture of the Amell cousins Robbie and Stephen rather than Matt. Curious, I opened the paper to find Matt on the second page yet every page after blank. Strange tabloid with only two stories in it.

St. Stephen's Day

St. Stephen’s Day is celebrated throughout the world in different ways. Just another religious holiday usually but this year was going to be decidedly different. St. Stephen had decided to visit the mortal world.

Joel was just another teenage nerd that the jocks of his school loved to pick on. He was a bright kid, not terribly bad looking in a lanky “he’ll grow into his body” kind of way, and always willing to help other people. He loved superheroes and had quite an impressive collection of comic books.
Rick was the QB and of course the most popular guy in school. He was older than Joel as he was a senior and Joel was just a lowly freshman. He had all the advantages: handsome, athletic, from a wealthy family, and colleges clamoring after him, even if his SAT scores placed him in the “not very bright” group.

Rick loved to torment Joel, except when he needed help with his school work. He would ooze charm and friendliness towards the nerd to get what he wanted, acting like they were best bros. And of course, Joel always capitulated and helped his biggest nemesis. That was just the type of guy Joel was.

Rick had managed to get Joel to do his advanced calculus homework for him, promising to get him into the biggest invite-only party coming up on the weekend. And yup, you guessed it, Rick had absolutely no intention of letting “nerd boy” anywhere near him or his friends at the party. Joel was crushed when Saturday rolled around and Rick was nowhere to be found. Rick meanwhile was laughing with his friends at Joel’s expense. Coincidently enough, Saturday also happened to be St. Stephen’s Day.

Seanday Lunch: Winner's Line

"Quit fooling Jack," I growled as I framed the picture. "Act your age!"

He smirked and looked at me. "What, my real age or Tommy's?"

"Your boy's age, you dope," David said with a sigh.

Jack covered the lens. "This is how my boy smiles for the camera, I should know!"

"Come'n Jack, don't spoil the day," David moaned.

"Just chill will you guys, I just want picture," I told them.

"I have a confession to make." Derek look worried. "It's about your son, you remember five or six months ago you had an argument with him?" Derek looked blankly at Craig. "Well, you did, he wanted to take a year out. Go with his friend and travel the world? You said no, even tho' all the expenses were paid."

Derek nodded, "I remember now."

"Well, Tom saw me, saw me changing at his school. I was posing as a student teacher, but I heard security was looking for me. So I ducked into the gym, he was in the locker room, but I didn't see him. I found a locker that was unlocked," Craig grinned, "I was lucky. Found the kid's ID and stole a look into the gym, just to see what he looked like--that's all I needed."

He scratched his chin. "I dumped my clothes and shifted into the kid's body. Then I heard Tom, he must have knocked something over. He came storming out, saying I wasn't his friend. He said he'd watched me change, I tried to convince him I was his friend Richard, but he was adamant. Time was running out, it would be even worse if class came back into the locker room with me in here. So I pleaded with him to let me go, and I promised to meet with him after school. He agreed and I pulled on his friends clothes and left."

"Did he meet with you later?" Derek asked.

Derek pulled at the skinny jeans he was wearing. He'd pranked Sam, but now he was heading back to his own house looking like his son's best friend. He glanced at his new face; this was going to be fun, but he wondered if he could fool Tom. He threw and caught the keys, it was a lucky turn of events to get the kid's pickup as well.

Sam was a bit of a mystery, Derek only looked like him. "Damn I wish there was a way to get his memories as well," he muttered. "Still I've been around when he'd visited before, I reckon I could muddle through."

It was only a short drive back to the house. Parking up, he made his way to the front door, then remembered Sam was allowed to use the side door; through the utility room.

Inside was the familiar sound of bass from upstairs. Sam shouted for Tom, but didn't get a reply. Tentatively he headed up stairs.

Freedom. Carefree. Alive with possibilities.

Guest Post by Zach!

All these thoughts flowed though my mind was we drove down the 2 lane on a warm summer evening. My best friend Mike, or I guess I should say Toby, had his legs dangling over the edge of the tailgate as I let my head hang out and watched the clouds go by with the wind whipping my blond hair.

It'd been a couple of days and we were settling in nicely to our new lives. Mike and I were best buds for over 30 years- since college. We sort of grew old together. we missed the adventure of our younger days, we were two successful businessmen, both divorced and kids grown. We were in our fifties, at the peak of our careers, didn't have anything to prove to anyone. Looking ahead was more of the same - neither of us worked that hard any more and retirement would just be more of the same. One day I got a call from a business acquaintance of mine, he was working on a start up and I had expressed some of my concerns of growing stagnant to him. He said I might be a perfect candidate for what he was working on. He told me I might want to bring my friend Mike and meet with him if I was interested in a challenge.
