Myth-conception

‘I was working in my lab late one night…..’

Dang! I can’t get that song out of my head. Since it is Halloween the radio station I listen to is playing “Monster Mash” non-stop. It’s just a silly little song that was one of my favorites when I was growing up. Everyone knows there’s no such thing as monsters, vampires, and werewolves, but still people like the supernatural. Just look at the current crop of shows on television. True to the song stuck in my head, I am working late but not in a lab. I am taking inventory at the store I own. The clock in the town square strikes midnight - I’m so out of here.

The full moon is shrouded by thin clouds, casting an eerie glow across the buildings and creating shadows in the corners and alleys. The night air is still warm, especially for October, yet a cold shiver is running down my spine as I make my way home. Everything is quiet, too quiet. Normally the walk home is pleasant but tonight I’m sure getting freaked out walking along the deserted streets. I nearly jump a mile when I hear a noise in the alley ahead. Stupid, it is only a cat foraging in the garbage cans. Almost home. Suddenly I hear footsteps behind me. I freeze dead in my tracks. I must just be imagining things. I start to walk again, although a bit faster now when I hear footsteps again. I pause, listening to the trees along the sidewalk rustle softly with a gentle breeze I haven’t noticed before, creating an animated show as the shadows on the moonlit streets dance to an unheard tune. More footsteps bring me out of my reverie. Home seems a long ways off as I try to keep a cool head. Snap out if, David. You’re letting your imagination get the better of you. My heart is beating fast as I slowly turn around; not really wanting to see what might be lurking in the shadows. I can make out something in the darkness just outside the halo of the streetlight, the form accentuated by the cold blue light of the moon. I want to run but I feel frozen in place, my legs refusing to move. The figure emerges into the light. There, under the soft glow of the street lamp, stands a young man. I almost laugh out loud as this is no monster waiting to get me. I have scared myself over nothing.

Seanday Starter: Under Construction

Mark leaned back in the seat, talking with Stuart.

I smile, Stuart was a very willing receptacle and open to suggestion. I'd only used his identity for a couple of days before I knew I needed a more permanent place.

Riffling through Stuart's memories I picked out Mark, a big heavy set guy. He'd only moved to the state recently and worked in construction. A useful guy to have around the site because he was very strong. He'd been looking for a place to make his own; I had too, so it would work well for the both of us--sort of.

With Stuart preprogramed with my wishes I jumped into the back of his cab and he called Mark telling him he could take the spare room.

Stuart drove over and picked up Mark who threw his gear into the back of the pickup. As he climbed in he gave Mark a soda, laced with a sedative, which he gratefully accepted taking a couple of gulps.

"Hi!" I said, making Mark jump. He looked around and looked surprised.

What Did I Agree To?

I don’t think I have ever worked like this in all my life. Granted I am young and in great shape but man this is damn hard work. What did I agree to? See it all began when…

I was walking home after a long day at work, wondering what I was going to eat for dinner and deciding if I was going to stay in to watch some TV or go to the movies. My apartment wasn’t far from the store where I was a cashier and I didn’t have a car so I walked. This particular day was no different than hundreds that had preceded it and hundreds likely to follow. Little did I know that my safe uneventful life was going to take a major detour.

As I neared the entrance to my apartment I heard the roar of a motorcycle come to a stop near me. The noise startled me but before I realized what had happened I found myself looking through dark sunglasses beneath a full-face helmet, sitting on a motorcycle and staring back at myself. My old body reached over to shut the engine off and told me to follow him inside. I was in such shock that I nearly fell as I dismounted the bike, trailing myself in someone else’s body and feeling like I was on auto-pilot in some bizarre dream. I can’t begin to describe how strange it felt to be about half a foot taller than I had been mere seconds ago or how I could feel young well-toned muscles ripple as I walked behind myself. I had no idea whose body I now inhabited but in all other ways I was still me.

Parental Authority

(based on Pic. 2 of Caption This 10/19)

I am at my wit’s end. My 16 year old son Dylan has started to hang out with a “bad” crowd, the kind that has real trouble makers. He is basically a good kid but is at that age when he is rebelling against my parental authority and wants to fit in with the cool kids. It hasn’t been easy for us since my wife passed away. He needs someone he respects and admires to help him get through this time in his life.

Kevin is a third year pre-med student at the local college where I am a professor. He lives next door in my neighbor’s “mother-in-law” house while he goes to school. I’ve helped him with his classes a few times when he has had trouble understanding some of the concepts. Kevin is a bright guy who is captain and quarterback of the school’s football team and isn’t too shabby to look at either. Like any college student his age, he likes to party and have his fun with the young ladies but he is a responsible young man, the perfect role model for Dylan. I can tell my son is in awe of him so maybe Dylan will listen to Kevin. I dial Kevin’s phone. It goes into voice mail so I leave him a message asking if he will drop by my house when he gets home. I want to talk with him about helping my son.

A short while later I hear the familiar sound of Kevin pulling up to the front of my house on his motorcycle. My doorbell rings and sure enough Kevin is standing there in his leather jacket looking like he just stepped out of an ad in one of those motorcycle magazines. “Hey Dr. G. what’s up?” I invite him in and after asking him to sit down I come straight to the point.

“Thanks for coming over Kevin. I have a huge favor to ask of you. You know Dylan just entered his sophomore year in high school and is going through that stage where he is trying to find himself. He needs someone he can look up to for guidance and as I am “just his dad” he tends not to listen to me. I was wondering if you might be willing to help me out, maybe hang around with him a little and try to steer him in the right direction. I’m sure you have noticed he idolizes you, both as the local sports hero and the big brother that he never had.”

“Sure Dr. G. I’ll be glad to help you out how ever I can. I only have one condition. Meet me at my place in about an hour and we can finalize the plan.” He leaves while I wonder what his condition is.

Early Seanday: Better Offer

(Inspired by today Caption This, can you do better?)

I scratched the stubble on my chin and looked Ryan in the eye. "So you want to leave the team?" I asked.

"Yeah! You're a good coach, but I don't think I'm learning anything new."

"Huh, is that a fact?" I replied adjusting my cap. "The team has a lot more to offer you. I think you're making a mistake."

tumblr_mtg8hfpPIR1sgs9vjo1_500[3]

"I've made up my mind coach."

"OK, just give me time to state my case. Lets have a chat in my office."

Ryan looked at me nervously but agreed. I followed him back to my office, he was my best player. Built perfectly for the game, strong shoulders and back. The rest of his body was good as well, I just couldn't keep my eyes off his tight ass in his singlet.

I followed him into my office and locked the door and wheeled on him. "What the fucks going on?" I demanded pushing him back against the wall.

Erick Stratton: Perfect Body

tumblr_mjepbpcSWK1s10hmdo1_500

I used to think Chase had the perfect body, but ever since I swapped with him, all I can think about is trying to make it better. I probably spend even more time in the gym than he did before, and the first thing I do after a workout is snap pics and pour over all of the the things I need to improve. When I’m not at the gym, I’m online looking up new workouts and diets and supplements to help sculpt every little muscle on my body. I don’t have time for anything else. I need to get bigger, more shredded. Compete in more shows. Get on a magazine cover.

All I wanted when I swapped with him was a hot body for the beach.

Erick Stratton: New Body

tumblr_mc0hcvNxFW1rj6xbzo1_500

“Well… You got the new body you wanted.”

“Man, I dunno. I mean. You know? It’s different.”

“Yeah! A little! I mean. I think you look great.”

“Oh yeah?” Tony puffed up his chest and flexed a bicep, “Don’t think I look like too much of a thug or nothin’?”

“Whoa,” Jake felt himself turning red, “They didn’t give you a shirt or anything?”

“Naw. I guess this is what the guy was wearing when he came in and signed up. You think maybe we could head back to the apartment now?”

“Yeah,” said Jake, “Um. Do I still call you Tony?”

“Yeah. I’m still Tony. I’m still me. Just with a new body. A’ight? We good?”

“Wow. Even the way you talk,” said Jake, “It’s so different. I mean. It’s just going to take a little getting used to, that’s all.”

Erick Stratton: Mr Walters

tumblr_msnjjx2iuI1rk54eco1_500

This summer was amazing. All the weekends at the beach. The parties. The girls. Building my body at the gym with my bros. It sucks that next week we’ll all be back in school. Only I won’t be one of them any more. It’s back to being old Mr. Walters. Teaching math. Going home at the end of the day and seeing that tired face in the mirror once again. Until next summer when I can take over another student’s body.

Next summer can’t come soon enough.

Erick Stratton: Work Out

tumblr_mscn8ksDdT1srzrazo1_500

I used to work out for the same reason a lot of gay guys do, I guess; to fill out a tank top and to look cute at the beach. Just enough to keep up a decent six pack, a toned chest and arms. But now that I’m in my little bro’s body, I gotta say it feels pretty great to be working out for an actual reason. To improve my performance on the field. To make Coach proud. To be bigger than the other guys on the team. To get more chicks. And, yeah, I still look pretty fuckin’ good in a tank top.
