Seanday Update: No Longer Feeling Alone

Firstly, I'd like to thank all the readers and friends for their support here on the Blog, Tumblr and via emails. It really helped me understand that I wasn't alone, and people were happy to listen--which helped me so much.

It's been very quiet in the house, and I've kept myself busy slowly working through all the cupboards, draws and cubby holes. It's really been an adventure, discovering letters and photographs from my parents. I had to make some tough decisions though, lots of things have had to go--there's just too much for one person now.

---

Moving onto the blog, I still haven't rediscovered my writing 'itch', although ideas and thoughts have started to return I just don't have the energy or momentum to bring them to life just yet.

Whatever happens, the blog will stay (Google permitting). I've scheduled "Caption This" posts until mid January 2018, so hopefully you'll be inspired and that in turn will help with my writing.

If you're interested in becoming an author on the blog, then please let me know. I always enjoy receiving emails from readers and supporters, so don't be shy--I like a chat.

Once again, I thank you for your support--it's helped me realise that my writing has not only inspired other writers, but also meant so much to the readers.

Sean.

Seanday Update: In Two Minds

As you may know, I lost father in January; my mother eight years previous. I've not been writing for a while, my last post was on the 5th February.

I'm wondering if I should start again. There are a number of great authors within our genre that serve some amazing stories on their own blogs and Tumblrs (I read as many as I can find).

You know I'm a very casual writer, and enjoy creating stories with depth, and characters you can believe in. Sticking to a weekly schedule (Seanday) was possible with others helping, but recently it's become difficult, and I wonder if my work was even missed?

Do you really need or want me to start again?

The Male Transformation Blog itself (in my opinion) has been declining. In its past--just a few years ago--it was averaging 105k visits a month, now it's 39k and dropping. It needs new blood, new independent writers. I don't like to see it this way, but it's demands outweigh what I can offer alone.

What do you suggest?

A Scottish Holiday

Walking the Highlands of Scotland was amazing. Never had I seen such an abundance of wildflowers, especially heather, all in one spot, and the views from the top of the crag were fantastic. Ah, such a place to call home must surely be like a bit of heaven on Earth.

Of course, it wasn’t my home. I was just a visitor, an interloper into the serene scenery and clean mountain air. But oh, to look up into that clear blue sky with the clouds rolling lazily by, what I wouldn’t give to stay in that spot forever. I could believe Brigadoon was just over yon hill.

How aggrieved I was when night started to come on and I had to make my way down the hill. Sure the inn I was staying at was nice, the people friendly, and such a preponderance of food the likes of which I had never seen, but by comparison to the natural wonders I beheld outside everything else paled.

I wasn’t watching where I was going having been so caught up in the beauty around me that I stumbled on a rock as I continued downward. I cursed silently to myself for having been so stupid. A hand reached down to help me to my feet.

“Thank you.” I must have hit my head for the man attached to that hand looked like a British soldier from centuries ago. In full military garb, he was immaculate in his formal red uniform.

Guest Post: Two Makes One

by El Fantasmo

"Stop it! We can't keep eating this shit!"

Their arm was fighting itself, trying to obey two masters at once. The effort caused the veins to pop out and the abnormally large muscles to strain.

"Let me eat it, Brett!" came a different voice from the same mouth.

"No! Dammit Nathan, we'll both get fat, not just you!"

"EAT!"

"NO!"

"Ugggnnnnnnnnnnn, yes!!" Nathan strained to bring the delicious, gooey danish closer to their mouth.

Seanday Update: Not a Story

I was going to post four short stories today, still haven’t written the second one and that was due to go up in 45 mins. I’m going to give that a miss.

Why?

My father died a week ago, so I'm pretty mixed up at the moment, really can't focus on one thing for any extended period.  I wanted to try and keep to a schedule/routine but it’s not working.

So I’ll be taking a break for a bit--but hopefully not too long as writing holds me together.
