Hope you check the comments now and again as I've started to drop stories into them.
Guys you've probably noticed the old voting system as gone now. Why? Well when I did some tests last year I asked you to vote and post the number the vote changed to. Well I checked back about a month or so and the votes had reset itself back to zero, not clever.
So when I introduced the new commenting system, i discovered a few extra benefits namely the ability to vote up (or down if you disagree) the comments from other readers. But also the ability for you to vote up the overall post.
You will have to go into the entire post to see the option (below);
It's the box next to the star at the top of the comments section. If you like the post, vote for it. There is no need to register or anything just click. If you don't like the story then leave a comment for us, again you don't have to register but it will ask for an email address. You can put anything in there, it doesn't check.
Another useful trick is the way you can vote up a particular comment, showing whether you agree or disagree with it. Again there is no need to register for voting.
Any questions, drop us a comment.
Try playing around with the comments on this post.

ReplyDeleteMatty looked over at the bedside clock, 08:30. He was on holiday but couldn't afford to pay for a trip away. Looked like it was going to be a slow week.
ReplyDeleteWith a groan he got up and picked up the mail from the front door as he made himself a cup of coffee. "Bill, bill, junk, bill, junk," he muttered as he went through the letters. The last one was different, a hand written one. He opened it, and a key fell out. He pulled the sheet of paper out and started to read it;
Hi Neighbour, this is Nick (#221). Matty thought for a moment, there was a guy that moved in only a week ago, kept to himself though.
Matty continued the letter. Works made me take a flight to LA, I'll be there all week. Wondered if you could keep an eye on the apartment, I've left a key. Could you call these people, {there was a list of names including Mom, Peter and Sarah} and tell them I'll be away for the week. They still haven't fixed my telephone and my mobile got stolen last week.
Matty smiled to himself and pulled on some shorts and left his house. Opening the door to #221 he familiarised himself with the layout. In the utility room he found a basket of used clothes--just what he needed.
Matty had a skill? A power perhaps, by pulling on some used clothes he could transform himself into their owner. He'd found out by accident after forgetting his gym shorts at school, and the coach had forced him to find something in the lost property bin. He'd picked out some blue shorts, pulled them on and found himself transformed into Carl DeBasey one of the senior football players. He was such a perfect copy he discovered he had all his memories as well. He stayed like that until he removed the shorts, but it didn't stop him taking them home and being Carl as many times as he could.
That was seven years ago, Matty had taught himself how to lock a change in place. Dropping his shorts Matty picked through the laundry and grabbed some sweatpants and pulled them on.
Matty buckled over, the transformation was quick, and he suddenly felt a lot heavier. He looked at his reflection in the mirror, a perfect copy of Nick. Thick heavy biceps, broad shoulders and huge pecs. Matty raised a hand to his young face and rubbed the soft stubble. Closing his eyes he locked the transformation in place.
Matty took the piece of paper and screwed it up in a strong hand and threw it in the waste. "No need to disappoint these people," he said in Nick's confident voice.
Matty stripped the sweatpants, he didn't need them anymore. It was 09:00, and he knew he was going to have an amazing holiday as he went through Nick closet and picked out some running kit. First stop, the gym.
Ty :-)
ReplyDeleteThe new comments system looks great on a computer, but simply won't load on several mobile devices I've tried (both my mobiles and my tablet). Otherwise keep up the fantastic work chaps :-)
ReplyDeleteIt works fine for me on my Samsung Galaxy S3 on the default browser
