The day had been warm, perfect for working on my computer outside. The birds were singing in the trees and the squirrels were chasing each other on and off the porch as I sat there. A sudden movement caught my attention but I paid no heed, figuring it was just one of the hummingbirds coming to the feeder. I went back to my work, only to see movement again. When I looked up there was a very handsome young man standing on my porch. The quintessential jock, he stood somewhat over 6’ tall with blonde hair, tanned skin and a well-toned muscular physique: a glistening Adonis surrounded by a golden aura.
“Who are you and how did you get here?” There was no way onto the porch other than through the doors and no one had come through those. I was attuned to anything that might lead to trouble, a sense that had been heightened by my childhood bullies, and my radar was going off like crazy.
“Sorry, Martin. I didn’t mean to startle you. My name is Bo.” A magnificent baritone voice rang throughout the air.
“How do you know my name?”
He ignored my question and I watched him as he casually made his way over to a chair to sit down, making himself quite at home. He definitely commanded my attention. Seeing Bo brought back memories of long ago, things best kept buried. When I was younger I had been the skinny unpopular nerd and having a name like Martin didn’t help matters. People like Bo, the popular good looking jocks, teased me mercilessly, sometimes to the point where I would go home at night and cry myself to sleep. I had eventually learned to deal with the bullying but deep down inside I secretly wished I could be like them: confident, popular, great looking, and somebody people would admire. I had been successful in my career choice and lived quite comfortably but I still would look at other men and sometimes wish I was more like them. Age and wisdom don’t change everything.
Once sitting he turned his gaze on me, his sparkling blue eyes making me wish the floor would open up and swallow me. Compared to him I was like Rumpelstiltskin to his Prince Charming. There was no sign of a superior attitude anywhere in his eyes though. Instead they invited me to enjoy the view and offered friendship. Something about him felt familiar and safe so I began to relax, letting my guard down.
He laughed as though he knew what I was thinking. “You don’t have anything to worry about. I’m a Faerie. We don’t show ourselves to humans usually but I thought we might have some fun.” I wondered what his idea of fun would be – dunk the nerd in the toilet?
“Faerie? You mean like Tinkerbell or Cinderella’s fairy godmother?”
“No, I don’t sprinkle magic dust, paint dew drops on flowers, or change pumpkins into coaches.”
“So what exactly is a Faerie?”
“In our natural form we are a wee folk but when we choose to be among humans we grow to blend in.” Like Bo would blend in. He was so gorgeous he would stand out in any crowd.
“We are born of the dreams and wishes of mortal beings and become what you might call a guardian to their dreams. Each of us has our own human and you are mine. I am what your dreams look like realized.” He was definitely right about that last bit He was everything I had ever wanted to be when I was growing up and if I admitted it to myself, still wished I could be.
He was antsy as we continued to chat, probably wanting to be more active. The sun started to set, signaling that night was quickly approaching while my stomach reminded me it was time to get dinner.
“Would you care to join me for dinner Bo?” I hadn’t the vaguest idea what he ate but I was sure he wouldn’t stay anyway. He probably had better things to do than hang out with me.
“Is that an invitation mate?”
“Sure, if you want to stay. What do you like to eat?”
“Any ambrosia or milkweed around? Just kidding. I’ll eat whatever you’re having.” So I prepared my simple meal. It must have been to his liking since he scoffed it down quickly.
After dinner we chatted a bit more while I did the dishes and cleaned up the kitchen. By now I was getting quite tired but I could tell he would rather do anything other than go to sleep. He might be an endless fountain of youthful energy but I certainly wasn’t.
“Time for me to get some sleep Bo. Are you going to stay the night?” I was seriously hoping he would as I had formed a bond with this much younger intriguing man.
“Sure.” Disappointment filled his voice and he plodded along behind me as I led him to the guest room.
“You can sleep in here. Feel free to have the run of the place. See you in the morning.”
“Good night Marty.” No one called me Marty except the bullies when they were being sarcastic but coming from my new found friend I didn’t mind a bit. With that I left him, anticipating the coming morning like I hadn’t ever done before.
Despite being exhausted, I could only lie on my bed in a state between sleep and wakefulness. Suddenly a very heavy weight descended upon my whole body. I thought I was going to be crushed to death but instead I started to get very aroused. The erotic sensations rushing throughout my being were simply amazing. I found myself experiencing quite the orgasm, something that hadn’t happened for many a year. I must have fallen into a very deep peaceful sleep after that because the next thing I knew the sun was streaming in through the window. On autopilot, I hopped out of bed and headed to the bathroom, almost tripping over my own feet. Then I remembered Bo was here, at least I hoped he was still here. I went down to the guest room and knocked on his door. No answer. Maybe he was sleeping in.
“Bo, you awake?” I called out softly. My voice sounded off. Must just be still waking up. No answer from Bo so I headed to the kitchen. No Bo there or in any other part of the house. I guess he must have taken off. He could have at least said goodbye before he left. I really thought we had connected. Now feeling rather down, I trudged off to the bathroom to do my morning rituals.
My eye caught Bo’s reflection in the mirror as I entered the brightly lit room. I spun around to see if he was standing in the doorway. Nope, no Bo. Must have been a trick of the light.
“Good morning Marty. Look at yourself.” I could hear Bo but I couldn’t find him anywhere. Was I hearing things now, too? “Go ahead. Don’t be timid on me.” He was commanding me to glance downward.
I was naked from stem to stern but that wasn’t the strangest thing I saw. My skin was a golden tan and my body had toned muscles in places I never had muscles before since being naturally thin I never could put muscle on. My junk was now much larger than I was used to along with a foreskin. My mind was reeling.
“Turn to the mirror Marty. Go on.” Bo ordered me again. Where was he? I turned to face the mirror. What I saw nearly shocked me beyond words. Bo was standing in the mirror!
Bo laughed. “No Marty. You aren’t dreaming. Or should I say you aren’t dreaming… Bo.”
This couldn’t be real but sure enough when I raised my arm, Bo did the same. Every movement I made he made as well. I couldn’t tear my eyes away from the image in the mirror. My brain couldn’t accept what my eyes were telling it. This was not possible. How could I be Bo? I couldn’t make sense of any of this. I must be going crazy.
“Whoa mate. Calm down and take it slow.” Bo interrupted my thoughts. “I am still here with you in this body. Don’t be afraid. Most men would die to be you. Above all don’t go spastic on me.”
He continued on. “There are two rules you need to know. First, I can take back control of my body instantly at any time. Second, I will always be with you and will step in whenever I’m needed but you won’t have access to my memories. No one will know you as Martin. To the world you are now just an ordinary young man named Bo. Got all that?”
“Okay Bo. But you definitely aren’t ordinary.”
“Whatever mate. Now carpe diem. The day isn’t getting any younger and you need to have some fun.”
I could stand here all day looking at myself but if I wanted to enjoy being the jock of my dreams I guess I had to get cleaned up and dressed then get something to eat.
He stayed silent while I did all my normal routines, which weren’t quite so normal anymore. It was like I was doing them all for the very first time again. Even taking a shower was an adventure as I got to explore my body all the more. The sensations were incredible. Warm water cascading down my skin was such a sensual feeling that I was beginning to realize just how easily I could get myself aroused. My hormones were in overdrive.
“Go ahead Marty. If you want to find out how sensitive it feels be my guest.” So I did and it was amazing, beyond anything I had ever experienced before.
I stepped out of the shower and looked in the mirror. With my dripping blonde hair I think I looked much more incredible, if that was at all possible. I dried myself off and brushed my hair then made my way to the bedroom to get dressed. But what was I going to wear since none of my clothes would fit the new me? I couldn’t go around in nothing more than what he had been wearing yesterday. Besides which I wasn’t quite sure I was ready to show that much of myself just yet, no matter how hot I was now. I was definitely 100% jock, at least on the outside, but the nerdy me inside still wasn’t convinced this was all real. Old insecurities die hard.
Much to my surprise I saw clothes on the bed. Tank top, shorts and sandals? No way. I would never wear those. Tanks only exposed my non-existent guns and skinny torso, shorts revealed my knobby knees and spindly legs, and I just plain didn’t like sandals. Did Bo expect me to put these on?
“Stop worrying Marty. Remember you’re now Bo, not Martin. You’ll look great. Trust me.”
“But I don’t wear clothes like these.” I protested.
“Marty doesn’t but Bo does. Just put them on. Take a chance for once in your life.” I think he was getting frustrated with all my protestations.
I was still apprehensive as I started to look for some boxers to wear. None were to be found anywhere. Great. I had to go commando in public. I reluctantly pulled the shorts up and then pulled the tank over my head, lastly stepping into the sandals. The clothes fit perfectly, albeit a lot tighter than I ever wore.
I couldn’t get this picture out of my head about what I must look like. I was absolutely sure if anybody saw me they would think I was some crazy old coot dressed in youthful clothes trying to be young. I still could not visualize myself as Bo. I made my way back to the bathroom and the mirror.
“Damn Bo you look hot!” The tank clung to each muscle like it had been pasted on and Bo’s junk was clearly visible in the shorts.
Bo started to laugh. “How do you like being a stud boy?”
Bo’s… my face started to redden when he said that. Me? A stud? I sure didn’t feel like a stud no matter how I looked.
“I must admit I do look good.” That was an understatement.
“Told you so. Now let’s go to town.”
“Hold on. First I want to eat. I’m starving.” I normally kept breakfast small, maybe some juice, cereal, and coffee but today I was ravenous for some reason. I made myself quite the meal and wolfed it down like I hadn’t eaten in days. Sated, I headed out the door. Fortunately, there were no close neighbors to wonder who the stranger was coming out of my house.
The nearest town was a fair distance off so I couldn’t very well walk there. I wasn’t quite sure, however, if I could fit into my small car. I needn’t have worried. When I opened my garage door I found my transportation had been upgraded as well. What else would I expect? Someone like Bo would have to drive a sleek convertible sports car to let the wind blow through his hair. He might not change men and pumpkins into princes and coaches but he certainly could change them into studs and Ferraris.
I doubted seriously if anyone in the small town had ever seen a Ferrari, much less one being driven by an incredible hunk. I was getting plenty of stares as I slowly made my way down main street. I saw a group of young college jocks playing basketball as I drove past the park. Next thing I knew the car was parked near the entrance and I was walking towards the game.
“Come on Marty. Let’s join them.” Instantly the sandals changed to a trendy pair of trainers complete with socks as a backwards cap materialized on my head and I found my junk confined to a jock strap under my looser fitting workout shorts.
“No Bo. I don’t play…” I never got to finish my sentence. Bo took control of my body and I was now along for the ride.
“Hey guys. I’m Bo. Room for one more?” He really was serious about forcing me to do something athletic, not something I felt comfortable about at all. I most certainly did not have his confidence.
“Sure.” The obvious alpha of the pack spoke up. He was tall and well-built but Bo still stood a good couple of inches over him and made him look puny by comparison.
Bo was a natural people person, something so very alien to me. We started to play and I could feel the adrenaline kick in. He was a natural athlete, too. Was there anything he couldn’t do? I was beginning to relax and enjoy the rush that came with the competition when suddenly I found myself in control once again… in the middle of a jump shot! I made the shot but fell hard to the ground after. Nothing broken or hurt but I was embarrassed and I’m sure the guys wondered how I went from amazing athlete to clumsy oaf in two seconds flat.
“Dang Bo. Why did you do that?” I heard him laughing as though this was a big joke.
“Lighten up Marty. You can do it. Have some fun and don’t worry. Let your body do the work.”
Easier said than done but after a few more embarrassing fumbles I started to get into the zone. Somehow my body had all the skills to play as long as I didn’t overthink the game. I actually could play basketball! Me! The introverted nerd who had always envied the jocks was rocking a game of b-ball!
We continued to play for a good while longer until the sun started to sink in the west.
“Hey Bo. Want to join us at the bar?” For the first time in my life I was being accepted rather than humiliated by the jocks. I started to hedge though. I wasn’t one to drink and drive, especially not when what I was driving was an expensive sports car.
“I don’t…”
“… mind if I do. Thanks.” Bo finished. He was determined to make me have a good time even if he had to do so with me kicking and screaming all the way. We started towards the bar.
The day had been perfect. Maybe too perfect. Being basically a very pessimistic person, probably from years of tormenting by all the cool kids, I knew something would have to go wrong. When I noticed him he was just lingering in the shadows at the edge of the park and I paid no attention to him. I was too busy enjoying my newfound basketball skills to care about much else. He moved when we started towards the bar, following us closely but not so close that anyone else noticed other than me.
“Bo there is someone watching us.”
“Don’t be silly. Who would be watching us?” Was I making too much of the shadowy figure I saw?
We got to the bar and ordered some beer and food. I looked out the window every few minutes and sure enough the mystery man was still there in the shadows created by the streetlamp. What did he want?
The waitress came over and slipped something into my hand. I unfolded the piece of paper to find a name and number on it. She smiled at me when I looked up. I wouldn’t be lonely tonight. Bo said I would have fun and I guess he was right.
Not long after we left the bar and I headed to my car. Bo had been strangely silent all night. As I approached my car I saw the shadowy figure not far away. A cold shiver ran up my spine as I quickly got into my car, driving as fast as I possibly could.
Soon I was back in the comfort of my own home and the memory of the man quickly faded until only a small sense of dread lingered. I got the number out and called Mandy, the waitress. We arranged to meet later on. I couldn’t go all sweaty and dressed in shorts so I quickly stripped and hopped in the shower. Being Bo was great and I had a day that I had longed to experience my whole life. I looked in the mirror as I dried myself off.
“How’s the stud doing? Going to get some action tonight?”
“Where have you been Bo?”
“With you but just letting you enjoy yourself.”
“Did you see that strange man hanging around?”
“Only when we got to the car. Don’t worry about him.” He sounded anxious, worried. Somehow I got the feeling Bo knew who he was but wasn’t going to tell me. I wondered what he was hiding from me.
“Go get dressed Marty. You have a date to get to remember. It isn’t nice to keep a lady waiting.”
I walked back to my room, still pumped from my day at the park. I had no idea what I was going to wear to meet Mandy. But Bo had already taken care of that. I balked when I saw what he had for me to dress in: white silk shirt, leather pants, and black shiny boots. I’m sure Bo wouldn’t have thought twice about the outfit. After all he was used to being a stud. I, on the other hand, was still new to his world and my conservative nature reared its head at the idea of wearing such an outfit. I had no choice though since I had no other clothes that would fit me.
No socks and no boxers again. I hesitated at the thought of going commando in what probably would prove to be very tight form fitting pants. I wasn’t wrong either. The pants were a very soft leather that clung to every crevice of my legs and left nothing to the imagination in the manhood department. I was going to have to be careful as I could tell I could get easily aroused as my dick rubbed against the confines of its home. I was equally as sure boots without socks would be uncomfortable but surprisingly as I slipped my feet in I found they were soft inside and once zipped up slid easily beneath the bottom of the pant legs. I took the shirt into the bathroom to put on. I kept telling myself I was foolish but I had to see what I looked like bare chested with nothing more than leather pants and boots on. I wasn’t disappointed. My tanned pecs and six pack abs looked so cool above the black leather. My blonde hair only accentuated my other attributes. I was the epitome of a male model in every way. I hated to tear my eyes away from the sight but I had to finish getting dressed. I pulled the shirt over my head, feeling the smooth silk caress my torso. It wasn’t as tight as the tank had been but it still showed my physique to nice advantage. Mandy probably had never met a man like Bo before. Dressed and with a new sense of confidence I headed out the door and to my car.
I made it to Mandy’s apartment quickly and after the obligatory foreplay we had sex. And what glorious sex it was. This body of mine was a dynamo and the peak of the orgasm was even more intense than what I had experienced in the shower. Mandy didn’t seem too displeased either. We fell asleep in each other’s arms, warm and comfortable. When morning came I arose, quietly getting dressed and kissing her gently on the cheek. I was hoping there would be many other nights like this but I didn’t know how long I would be in Bo’s body. Bo had been oddly quiet and that puzzled me. A wave of dizziness overtook me as I stood outside on the steps. The shadow man was waiting for me.
“Martin I need to talk to you.” He touched my arm.
“Bo help me.” There was no response from Bo.
“Bo is asleep so we can have a private conversation. I have been hunting Bo for quite some time. Bo is not what he seems.” Not what he seems? What the hell was this guy talking about?
He continued. “Bo is not a Faerie as he has led you to believe. He is a soul eater. He convinces his intended victims he is their deepest desires brought to life and then devours their souls. He has eaten countless numbers in his long life. He is much older than he looks, around many eons before you were born, and has evaded me until now.” I couldn’t believe this guy. Bo was my friend who had given me everything I had ever desired.
“You’re lying. Why would Bo lie to me?”
“He needed your trust so he could convince you to have sex with another person. It is only after the sexual act that he can begin eating your soul. Aren’t you already beginning to feel weaker?”
Yes, I had to admit I was not feeling as well as I had been earlier, but that had to be due to the rigorous night I had just finished… didn’t it?
“You must have invited him in. You gave him access to yourself at that point. Unfortunately, when he merged with you your natural body was destroyed. His victims don’t usually survive once he starts feeding but you are stronger than most and I have gotten to you in time to save you. Let me help you Martin. Trust me.”
“Why should I trust you?” I almost stumbled as I started to leave.
“Even while asleep he is eating away at your very essence. You won’t survive the day. And you can call me Cal.”
If it was true and there was no going back to my own life, then what was I to do? This was Bo’s body, not mine. I didn’t want to believe this stranger yet somehow my instincts were telling me he wasn’t lying. Everything began to make sense. My danger radar had gone off because of Bo and I had ignored it. He had dressed me like a jock so I would become a jock, all cocky and ready to have sex at any time. Bo was the worst kind of bully there is, the kind that wins your trust and then hurts you far worse than any physical punishment could ever do.
He might be a monster but still the idea of destroying the beauty that was Bo sickened me. It was like Cal was going to kill all my dreams, desires, and hopes in one swift instant. Was oblivion worse than that? I couldn’t let him continue to harm others though. No matter what the consequences were to me I had to let Cal end Bo.
“What do we do?”
“I’ll put you to sleep then I will take care of Bo so he can never harm anyone again. By the way his name isn’t really Bo and he looks nothing like the façade he has taken on. He plucked the image from your mind and became your ideal man. We have to act quick. I can’t keep him asleep for long. What is your decision?”
“Do what you must.” He touched my arm once more and I fell into a deep dreamless sleep, oblivious to whatever Cal was doing to Bo and me.
The next morning, I awoke feeling very sore and hungry. I looked around. I was in my own bed in my own house. Had I only been dreaming? It had all seemed so real. I was disappointed. Even if it had only been a fantasy for a short while I had been the man I had always wanted to be.
“Good morning Martin.” A familiar voice spoke to me from nearby. It was Cal, the man from my dreams. Did that mean….?
“Yes, it all happened Martin. Bo is gone now. You, my friend, have saved many lives with your sacrifice.” But if Bo was gone then how could I be here? Cal told me my body had been destroyed. I was getting confused.
Cal smiled gently at me. “Don’t worry Martin. You are still very much alive. Get up and look at yourself.” Strange, that sounded like what Bo had told me yesterday. It had been yesterday hadn’t it?
I sat up and swung my legs off the bed. I felt woozy and disoriented but I also could feel the blood rushing through my veins and powerful sensations flooding my brain. I brushed the blonde hair from my eyes…. I had blonde hair! I looked down at myself to see golden skin covering a well-muscled torso. I stood on two strong legs.
“Go ahead. Look in the mirror.”
“What have you done to me?” That voice. Wasn’t that…? I practically ran to the bathroom, almost tripping myself up. My eyes had to adjust to the brightness as I stared into the mirror. I couldn’t deny what I was seeing. Reflecting back at me was Bo! I turned around to find Cal standing in the doorway.
“This is your body now Martin. Or should I say Bo? Once I expelled the soul eater I made the body into Bo’s image permanently and put you into it. Couldn’t leave Mandy wondering what had become of you, now could we?” He smiled at me. “This is your life now. You are and have always been Bo. Nothing will tell you otherwise, including your memories. Martin never existed. As soon as I am gone you will forget all that has happened and believe you only had a very odd dream, a dream that will fade from you quickly. You have a new life, the life you always wanted.”
“Why? Why would you do this for me?”
“You earned it. Call it fate if you will. One good deed deserves another. Karma. Enjoy your life. By the way, I think Mandy will be waiting for you.” Like the Cheshire cat from Alice in Wonderland he faded, only his smile remaining until that too disappeared.
I brushed my teeth, hopped in the shower, and went back to my room to get dressed. What should I put on today to meet Mandy? I opened my closet door to pick out something casual. It didn’t matter what. I looked great in whatever I wore. With my tank, jeans, sandals, and shades on I headed out the door. I’d get breakfast at the bar where Mandy worked. I brought my Ferrari to life and started down the road. That was a very strange dream I had last night, but that is all over. Look out Mandy – your sexy jock is coming!
