“Attitude Adjustment” by Nemo

Dennis sighed as his friend Bobby took yet another photograph of himself in the mirror. He still looked worried, thought Dennis. As soon as he'd taken the shot, Bobby pulled his right arm forcefully forward while he gripped onto his short cropped hair. His handsome face deformed as Bobby tugged the mask he was wearing off his own face and let it hang around his neck.

Dennis looked at Bobby in disgust. "Dude! What the fuck is wrong with you? Do you know how much trouble I had to go through to get these suits. Now you're treating them like crap. If you rip the suit, you're paying to get it fixed."

"I'm sorry, OK?!" said Bobby, "It's just.. I can't get used to not seeing my own face in the mirror. In fact it's not even that, it's trying to get used to seeing his face instead of mine."

"What's wrong with his face?" asked Dennis "You always told me you thought he was hot. Don't you like looking like him?"

"There's nothing wrong with his face." said Bobby "Everyone knows Troy is the best looking guy on campus. It's just I'm not sure that I can be him. Even if I look like him, I don't think I'll be able to pass as him and I guess I'm scared someone will pull this mask off my face in public and... and..." he stumbled to a halt.

"You need to relax dude." replied Dennis. "Look, you're not even giving yourself time to adjust to seeing a different face in the mirror. You've not even sealed the suit properly yet." Dennis walked over to Bobby and reached out to lift up his mask. Bobby shied away, but Dennis just calmly took Bobby by the arm and pulled him closer again. He reached up and pulled the mask of Troy's face carefully back over Bobby's head. Dennis tugged it gently into place and then moved around behind Bobby and held the edges of the mask against the rest of the suit Bobby was wearing until the edges self-sealed.

Dennis moved back around so he was looking Bobby in the face "Now dude." said Dennis calmly, I want you to just close your eyes and take some deep breaths." Bobby sighed for a second and then did just that "Ok no I'm going to sit you down" continued Dennis, leading Bobby to a chair and guiding him into it, while Bobby still had his eyes closed. "Now listen to me." said Dennis "I want you to just sit here for two minutes with the full suit on and your eyes closed. I want you to think about every time you've seen Troy around campus, about how he stood, how he walked, how he acted. Then in a couple of minutes, you're going to open your eyes and look at your new reflection and you're going to act just like Troy. OK?" Bobby just nodded, unconvinced that Dennis's plan would work, but willing to give it a try.

As Bobby sat and focused his thoughts on all his memories of Troy, he was aware of Dennis moving around their shared room, but he dutifully ignored the background noise and concentrated on thinking about Troy. He dimly heard the sound of clothes hitting the floor and a closet opening and closing. Throughout it all, Bobby just sat, breathed and thought of Troy.

After what seemed like forever, he felt his chair being wheeled in front of the mirror and braced himself, for what was coming. He expected Dennis's calm voice, but instead he felt a sudden punch to his shoulder and as he opened his eyes in shock, he saw Troy's best buddy and fellow jock Josh, standing next to him. "Hey Troy? You gonna sit there all frigging day?" asked Josh.

Bobby stared at his reflection in the mirror, of course he knew that Josh was really Dennis in a matching body-suit, but there was something about seeing Josh calling him Troy that made him feel more confident. He stood up and looked at himself, but now he carried himself like Troy. He turned to Josh "Sorry Bro. Guess I must have zoned out. What's up?" asked Bobby sounding exactly like Troy.

Josh smiled with a gleam in his eye. "Well Bro, since you're feeling more yourself I thought we could maybe hit the clubs, see what kind of fun we can have."

Bobby ran a hand over Troy's tight body thoughtfully, flexing ideally as he stared at his reflection. "Yeah, I guess so." said Bobby/Troy "I mean unless you can think of something more fun we can do here?" he asked walking over to Josh.

"What do you mean?" asked Josh/Dennis smiling, as Bobby/Troy moved closer and kissed him long and hard....
