New Year Costume Party

“Welcome to the Costume Store sir. Please browse around and let me know if you want to try something on,” I smile. I watch you carefully, you move from rack to rack pulling at the usually monkey, gorilla and Mario costumes with a disappointed look you go to leave.

“Sir, can I have a couple more minutes of your time? You look like the type of person that knows what they’re looking for, am I right?” I say in a cheery voice, you nod.

I pull a binder from under the counter. “Let me show you some of our more special costumes.” I start to flip through the pages and describe some of the costumes.

1. Batman and Robin

“These are popular pair, you can take one or the other; better still if you have a friend take both of them. I can assure you that you’ll have complete anonymity.”

“How do you mean?” you reply

“The Batman and Robin costumes are just cosmetic, the guys in the photo are real identities you’ll be using.”

“You mean they’re just rubber suits?”

“No they’re real enough—a couple of room mates from the local university. You get to use their body for the rental period, use them as you wish. If you don’t have a friend for the other guy I can tweak their memory to fit what ever you desire; friend, brother—lover,” I chuckle.

“Are they OK with that,” you ask

“They owe me, but don’t worry they won’t remember anything and if you rent by yourself the other guy won’t even know your inside his room mate,” I say flipping to the next page.

 

 2. Wolverine

“Perhaps this one will interest you, it works the same as Batman and Robin. You can possess, body swap with him—he’ll look after your life while your in him—or you can make him into a suit. This guy is really popular, I’m surprised he’s still available.”

“Why’s he popular?” you ask.

“He’s the surfer and a party animal, a guy rented him last year and ended up fucking a load of guys at a party. Was a bit awkward when he returned the suit had to re-write a lot of his memories to fit in with his coming out at the party.”

 

3. Security

“Maybe something in authority? Daniel is a bouncer at a night club—he used to be a marine. You’ll need to finish off the last of his shift but then the time is yours. He’s very strong and has an air about him, he can make even the biggest guys wilt with just a look. I should know I’ve worn him a few times myself."

Your grin widens.

 

 4. Solider

“Oh, touched an interest maybe?"

You blush.

“Have a look at this guy, Sergeant Ryan. He’s just come back onto the books back from duty for the holiday period. I can do a special offer on him; two weeks for the price of one.”

“Tell me more,” you say.

I look over my notes. “Well he’s 23 years old, 5’10” tall, 190lbs with a 48” chest. A natural born killer,” I grin. “He’s straight—maybe,” I wink.

You bite your lip.

“Before you make any decisions, look at the others first.”

 

5. Something Different

“I don’t know, perhaps you’re a little shy and you want to try something new but without any consequences?”

“Go on,” you say.

I point to a picture in the book. “Take Adam here. A regular on the circuit of some specialist bars and clubs; cocky little fucker. I’ve got a special agreement with Adam though; he’s a possession or bodysuit only though. He likes to be controlled so will be conscious while you’re inside him but its safe as he cannot do anything.”

I look at you and bite my lip. “The last couple are very special, and you have to have an open mind,” I say under my breath.

You raise an eyebrow. “Oh?”

Turning the page, you see its blank. “Place you palm on here,” I tell you.

You put you hand there, and it warms—a picture appears.

 

6. Neighbours

“Shit, that’s Tony in his dress shirt and Jack,” you stammer.

“Both options, the page has picked up some of your inner desires. You can be either of them or you can double up and we’ll tweak the memories of the other to fit in with your fantasy, we can of course guarantee that they’ll remember nothing.”

I turn the page, another blank page. I nod at you and you place your hand on the book and when the picture appears you gasp.

 

7. Friends

“Wait, that’s my son in the jacket. You’re not suggesting—“ you say.

“No of course not, but maybe one of his friends?”

You think for a moment. “Well I know he goes to some great parties and we don’t hang out as much as we used to…” you ponder.

“Well, this guy,” I tap the image of the guy in the red hoodie.

“Jason?” you say.

“Yeah, I think that’s me in the picture. Your son’s nineteenth birthday I think? It was a fun evening got totally wasted.”

“And my son never realised?”

“No, once you’re inside you have full access to memories.” I reply.

 

8. The Golden Ticket

“The last thing I have to offer is the Golden Ticket. It’s not cheap, but for three months you can become as many people you want,” I grin at you.

“Anyone? As many times as I want?”

“Yes, for three months.”

“Then what?” you reply cautiously.

I place my hand on the book. “Then you become an option on my books for other to use between Christmas and the New Year for three years. You get three months use of the ticket but sacrifice three weeks of yours, sounds like a great deal huh?” I say.
